Growing up in Australia has inspired a love of colour, light, space, pattern and nature. There was a natural progression from earlier studies of fashion, textiles and drawing to painting. Building layers of paint to create depth, interweaving threads of colour to connect contemplated objects. Creating areas of space and reflective surfaces to balance pattern. A recurring inspiration, the beauty of plants and nature. Increasingly I enjoy working on a large scale.
